PRESS RELEASES

The musical union of George Jones and Tammy Wynette brought classic hits including "Golden Ring," "We're Gonna Hold On," "Two Story House," "(We're Not) The Jet Set" and "Take Me." But the personal union of the couple, who married in 1969 and divorced in 1975, produced another classic—a daughter, Georgette. This 35-year-old southern gal grew up in Tennessee and Florida, and now lives in Alabama. And, given the genes she inherited, it's no surprise that the mother of 12-year-old twin sons (Kyle and Ryan), who works as a registered nurse by day, is also a talented singer/songwriter by night. She has a three-song EP for sale on her website, and is currently in the studio with producer Keith Stegall.

As George celebrates the recent release of his latest album, Hits I Missed . . . and One I Didn't, and Georgette embarks on her own singing career, father and daughter sat down to chat at the beautiful Nashville—area home George shares with his wife, Nancy. With Country Weekly's Associate Editor Wendy Newcomer standing by, we put our tape recorder in Georgette's capable hands and she interviewed the man we know as a country legend—the man she calls "Daddy."
